Monthly Performance Counseling (3)

Purpose of Counseling:
  Monthly performance counseling for December

                        Physical Fitness                                 Promotions
                        Personal appearance                        Personal accountability
                        Safety/Drinking

Key Points of Discussion:

PVT Snuffy, this is your counseling for the month of December. You are still new to the section but you have already started to show great leadership capabilities. You are learning your job quickly and doing it in a professional manner. Several times you have been left in charge to accomplish a task and have been able to finish that task proficiently and professionally. I hope to expect more of these work habits from you in the future.

Physical Fitness: PT is a personal responsibility, even thought we do PT 5 days a week, there is no way we can make a program that will successfully better everyone's scores. You have to work on your weakest events on your own if you need any help feel free to ask me and I will do everything within my power to help you.

Promotions: You only have a short time left until you're promoted to PFC without a waiver. Continuing working in the manner in which you have been and you may be eligible for a waiver. Waivers do not come very often in this unit however you should consider trying to earn promotion points for when you are at the stage to make SGT. Doing correspondence courses online is a great way to earn points and with your current rank you still have very little responsibility giving you more free time to do things like this. Now is the best time before you transfer to another duty station where earning points is not as easy as it is here.

Personal Appearance: Your uniform and boots have met the standard set forth in AR 670-1. Keep up the good work.

Personal Accountability: It is your responsibility to keep me informed of your whereabouts at all times. If there is for any reason you are going to miss or be late to a formation or work call it is up to you to make me aware of the situation.

Safety / Drinking: The drinking age is 21. You are over the age of 21. This does not give you the right to drink out of control. You are a soldier 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are caught in any situation with alcohol in your system it is classified as an alcoholic incident. Maintain your military bearing at all times and drink responsibly. All in all be safe and responsible in all that you. Lastly thank you for a safe and productive month.

Plan of Action:

Leader Responsibilities:
